A wooden staircase leads to the second bedroom, tucked away under the sloping A-frame roof, creating a cosy, intimate cocoon. We have an in-house caretaker/cook who will take care of your meal preferences. Lunch / Dinner is available on prior notice.

Hushstay x Nikka is located away from all the hustle-bustle of the popular hill-stations in a small village called Sainj.
Nearest Railway Station (Kalka) - 117 kms / 3.5 hrs
Nearest Airport (Chandigarh) - 145 kms / 04 hrs
Shimla - 50 kms / 1.5 hrs
Solan - 80 kms / 2.5 hrs
Theog - 30 kms ahead / 1 hr
Kotkhai - 30 kms ahead / 1 hr
Kufri - 42 km / 1.5 hrs
Delhi - 08 hrs -
As with all great places, getting to this paradise-of-a-location requires one to drive on a steep dirt road for about 200 meters.

The dirt road is recommended only for experienced drivers or if you have a 4x4 vehicle. Otherwise, you may park your car on the metal roadhead and walk the last 100m to the property. Our staff will help you out with the luggage.

We will share the exact directions upon confirmation. There is space to park the car within the estate.

We follow a strict no smoking policy inside the house since a lot of wood has been used for the interiors. You may ask the caretaker for an ashtray and smoke outside the house if you need to.

Please be careful or ask the caretaker for help while placing wood in the fireplace. We usually keep dry wood in storage but if it has been raining, dry wood might not be availble.

Please respect your surroundings since the property is set in the midst of an orchard. Do not pluck the flowers / fruits or disturb wildlife here.

Sustainable Travel: We do not provide mineral water bottles or aerated drinks and encourage our guests to avoid or take back their plastic garbage. Clean drinking water in bottles is provided.

There is a good 4G connectivity for Airtel and Jio users, unless the weather is bad.

This place is offered exclusively to only one group at a time. Please mention the exact number of guests while booking.
The house has just two bedrooms but there is space for 02 more extra mattresses and in total it can accommodate up to 06 guests.
Electricity: Electricity is usually not a problem, however, being at an offbeat location, if there is an unprecedented power outage, we have an inverter as power backup to keep the lights and some power points running. This might also offer you an opportunity to switch off and gaze at the starry night sky. We promise you will not regret it.

There are additional charges for Bonfire/ Fireplace to be paid at the property.

Outside guests are not allowed during the stay. The property is only accessible to guests who have booked with us.

“We found the place to be exactly as described and shown in the pictures. Would recommend the himachali style food served at the property. The views from the room were immaculate and the place had all the basic necessities like AC, good internet, basic utensils etc. The hot tub is also quite nice and offers great views. Access to the location was quite convenient from Shimla and Chandigarh airports. It was away from the touristy and super busy parts of the Shimla area. There is a stream of water if you head down from the cabin which we had pretty much to ourselves. There are some small trails you can hike upto if you feel like it exploring. Would recommend this place if you are looking to spend some time in Himalayan foothills and want to avoid the crowds"
