It comes with a private pool and the house beckons you to embark on a journey of profound rejuvenation. A backdrop of verdant hills and distant horizons sets the stage for deep conversations, while cosy nooks adorned with plush cushions provide sanctuaries for introspection.

The retreat's design showcases an impeccable blend of traditional charm and contemporary comfort, a reflection of the gracious Army couple who envisioned, conceived & curated this jewel. Their commitment to impeccable service and endearing Rajasthani hospitality is woven into every corner, creating an oasis that welcomes with open arms.
The house is divided into 02 independent units that can be booked separately or together: A 04 Bedroom Unit that is the main house itself and an adjoining 02 Bedroom Unit called Kesar. The property, enveloped in sandstone and lime, is cradled in serenity from every angle: the majestic Aravallis Hills create a dramatic backdrop, a verdant garden paints a canvas with a diverse tapestry of flora and fauna and a private pool whispers of relaxation.
As you step inside through arched doorways, the retreat unfolds its boutique charm. Kesar, the 02 bedroom unit shares the common living space with the mainhouse. The common living/dining space, adjoining the 04 bedrooms, seamlessly weaves together comfort and grandeur, with sofas inviting reprieve and large windows framing the pool area.

THE ROOMS
Every suite at Hushstay x General's Retreat is a haven of charm and elegance.
Each suite comes with spacious ensuite bathrooms and air-conditioners for the summer. The rooms are airy and each room features a lavish four-poster bed, snug furnishings, and a day bed nestled by a generous window that invites the outside beauty in. The thoughtfully selected furniture and unique decor infuse the rooms with a cozy and inviting ambiance, guaranteeing a serene and rejuvenating stay.
These two units can be booked individually or together depending on the group size. For couples and small families we recommend Kesar, the 02-bedroom suite, while the 04 bedroom unit is apt for a group of friends or families travelling together. Bigger groups can book both units together to have the entire space to themselves

MAINHOUSE: 04 BEDROOM UNIT

The Mainhouse at General's Retreat consists of 04 Bedrooms adjoining a common living/ dining area. A statue of Nandi stands tall as the guardian of the serenity of the house. Locally-crafted custom furniture and artefacts collected over the years adorn every inch. Each bedroom has space for an extra bed. The pool and the living/dining space is shared with guests staying in the 02 Bedroom Unit.
KESAR: 02 BEDROOM UNIT
02 - 05 Guests
Kesar with its 02 well-appointed rooms is perched on the upper floor of the property and offers beautiful views of the pool as well as the surrounding landscape through its over-sized windows. The guests are invited over to the common dining space in the mainhouse for meals and the swimming pool is shared with guests staying in the 04 Bedroom Unit.

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING
Meals:

Breakfast and Hight-tea are included in the room tariff. Lunch and Dinner can be ordered on-site at an additional cost.

Meals are prepared by our in-house chef under the supervision and guidance of the lady of the house. All meals are made of delectable homemade local cuisine. Apart from this, snacks are also available on an A-la-carte basis.

All meals are served in the common dining space in the mainhouse.

We request all our guests to inform the staff about their meal preferences well in advance.

We also have a BBQ grill available on request. Please inform us a couple of days before check-in.

If you have any special requests, please make sure you inform the staff 24-48 hrs in advance so that it can be sourced in time.

The owners also stay on this property and occupy the upper floor which has a separate entrance. They offer complete privacy.

Electricity: Electricity is usually not a problem, however, being at an offbeat location, if there is an unprecedented power outage, we have a 100% power backup for the entire house.

We do offer accommodation for drivers / helpers and nannies at INR 1000 per day inclusive of Breakfast and Soft Beverages.

“I recently had the pleasure of staying at General's Retreat Kesar, that truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beauty and attention to detail of the tasteful interiors.
The homestay was beautifully decorated with traditional Rajasthani artwork, textiles, and furnishings, which perfectly captured the essence of Rajasthan's rich cultural heritage. The space was both cozy and spacious, with plenty of natural light and comfortable seating areas that were perfect for lounging and relaxing.
But what really made my stay at this homestay unforgettable was the warm hospitality of the hosts. From the moment I arrived, they went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. They were always available to answer any questions I had and provided excellent recommendations for things to do and see in Jaipur.
The food at the homestay was also exceptional. The hosts prepared dishes using fresh and locally sourced ingredients, which were bursting with flavour and perfectly spiced.

“Wonderful homestay in a very peaceful environment!
Located in the outskirts of Jaipur (right next door to Tree of Life, Kukas), this beautiful place was a perfect last stop for my trip.
The whole place is a labour of love, with very tastefully done-up interiors and a very welcoming exterior. It reflects the personalities of the kind and charming hosts.
The hosts live on the first floor while four rooms are available on the ground floor.
They will look after you better than any luxury hotel and will cater to all your requests with utmost sincerity.
Food is served with a lot of thought and love. Main courses are homemade, while you are offered the best of local delicacies as appetizers. And it's amazing, you get the best of Jaipur right in front of you.
The rooms are spacious and clean, with pretty details that make them unique.
There is also a pool for those hot days, and two adorable pets: Sitara and Sultan. 🐶 🐶
It's an excellent place to enjoy great views in peaceful surroundings while being looked after in the most wonderful way, and fed delicious food until you're stuffed.
