Set against the backdrop of the beautiful Parvati Valley, about 10 kms before Kasol and 25 kms from the Bhuntar Airport, in a quiet and peaceful village called Jari, Hushstay x Slow Life is a minimalistic 04 Bedroom Earthy Cottage that invites you to step off the treadmill of modern life and into a world where time seems to stand still. As you approach, the rustic charm of the Himalayas envelops you, inviting you to embark on a journey of tranquillity and introspection. As you step inside, mud-finished walls envelop you in a cool embrace during summers and a cozy warmth during winters, while minimalist design principles ensure that every element serves a purpose. The earthy vibe permeates every corner, creating a serene retreat where simplicity reigns supreme.
The architecture, with its exposed stone walls and reclaimed wooden beams, exudes a sense of timeless beauty. Large windows frame sweeping views of the surrounding mountains, inviting you to pause and drink in the natural splendor. Bedrooms open up to panoramic vistas, offering a glimpse of the majestic landscape that lies beyond. Reusing wood and stone from abandoned buildings on the property, the architect has breathed new life into these materials, infusing each space with a sense of history and authenticity.

Here, a round tabletop crafted from discarded wooden offcuts serves as a symbol of sustainability and resourcefulness. Step into one of Slow Life's meticulously curated rooms, where minimalist design meets maximum comfort. Each room is a sanctuary of serenity, featuring large windows that flood the space with natural light and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Soft, dim lights create a cozy ambiance, while plush rugs and comfortable bedding invite you to unwind and relax. The attached bathrooms are meticulously designed, offering a touch of raw elegance, with their perfectly unfinished finishes.
Spread across two floors, the upper level boasts a spacious living and dining area, where earthy tones and natural textures create a welcoming atmosphere. Two bedrooms on this floor offer privacy and comfort, with every detail designed to enhance your experience.
On the ground floor, two additional rooms offer a private entrance that opens up to the apple orchard, inviting you to connect with nature from the moment you wake up. And for those seeking a little extra seclusion, a cozy attic room awaits, perfect for lazy afternoons spent lost in thought or lost in a good book.

Nearest Railway Station – Chandigarh is the nearest railway station by virtue of its connectivity and number of trains. The remaining journey needs to be covered by rental cars which easily available.

Nearest Airport (Bhuntar) - 24 kms / 50 mins
Kasol Town - 12 kms / 30 mins -
As with all great places, getting to this paradise-of-a-location requires a 5 km (little bumpy) drive on a scenic mountain road

From our village parking area, you will have to walk down for about a minute to reach our place.
House Rules:

Our check-in and check-out time is 12 PM and we are flexible with these timings but please consider that the staff has to prepare the place for the next guests.

Slow and soft music is okay, but please do not play loud music after 10 PM.

We like to keep the house clean for everyone. Outside footwear is not allowed inside the house. Please bring your slippers and feel comfortable.

Services of the staff are available until 10:00 PM

You can smoke on our lazy couch but as a statutory policy, we follow a strict no-smoking policy inside the Bedrooms and Toilets.

Please respect your surroundings since the property is set in the midst of an orchard. Do not pluck the flowers / fruits or disturb wildlife here.

We are Pet-friendly. If you are bringing your pet, please bring your own pet beddings and pet food and make sure your pet is friendly with other dogs.

We a have goal soon to catch with your help, which is going net zero and fully sustainable. Hence please refrain from bringing things that come dressed in plastic like bottled water, sodas, and snacks We try to provide everything in our place and avoid plastic spillage to the environment.

This 04 bedroom place is offered exclusively to only one group at a time, the tariff remains the same for up to 06 guests and a maximum of 10 guests can be accommodated. Rooms are offered on double occupancy.

Please note that like any other home in the mountains, we do not have an air-conditioner at the property. Hushstay x Slow Life has been designed in such a way that there is proper wind circulation if the windows are opened in the afternoon.

Electricity: Electricity is usually not a problem, however, being at an offbeat location, if there is an unprecedented power outage, we have to manage with lanterns and candles for lighting the rooms and dining. This might also offer you an opportunity to switch off and gaze at the starry night sky. We promise you will not regret it.

Please refrain from using bottled water as fresh purified water is available at all times.

We can arrange room/bedding for staff on prior notice. Driver accommodation is available within the radius. Kindly inform the hosts in advance if you have any staff accompanying you.
