As you arrive, the Wisteria House greets you with its warm embrace, its stone façade and timber accents blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings. The property is split into two distinct structures: The Wisteria Cottage, a 2-bedroom retreat, and The Wisteria Villa, a luxurious 3-bedroom home. Both ensure privacy and are surrounded by breathtaking views of the Himalayas, with oversized windows that let natural light flood in, creating a warm and inviting ambiance.
Designed for intimacy, the cosy 02-bedroom Wisteria Cottage emphasizes comfort and connection, with a compact living space that feels personal yet open. A shaded verandah serves as an extension of the indoors, perfect for mornings accompanied by steaming cups of chai and the rhythmic whispers of the forest.
A stone staircase ascends to the Wisteria Villa, a spacious three-bedroom retreat that balances understated luxury with earthy charm. The villa’s open-plan living and dining area is anchored by exposed stone walls and wooden beams, a nod to the vernacular architecture of the region.

Each room features plush bedding designed for restful nights and window-side seating that invites you to soak in the breathtaking views. Meals are prepared by our in-house chef and are made of delectable homemade cuisine.

All meals can be ordered separately on À la carte. We request all our guests inform the staff about their meal preferences well in advance.

As with all great places, getting to this paradise-of-a-location requires a 4 km drive on a narrow mountain road via the Manali town.

Slow and soft music is okay, but please do not play loud music. We try to be mindful of our neighbours. 9 PM - 9 AM are quiet hours.

We follow a strict no-smoking policy inside the house. You may ask the caretaker for an ashtray and smoke outside the house if you need to.

To ensure safety of our guests, certain common areas in the property may have CCTV surveillance.

Sustainable Travel: We do not provide mineral water bottles or aerated drinks and encourage our guests to avoid or take back their plastic garbage. Clean drinking water in bottles is provided.

Wisteria House is *not* a party place or a hotel. Expect a homestyle experience that will leave an impression on you and reshape city-bred perspectives.

Hushstay x Wisteria House consists of 02 Units. These two units can be booked individually or together depending on the group size. For couples and small families, we recommend the 02-bedroom Cottage while the 03-bedroom Villa is apt for a group of friends. Bigger groups can book both units together to have the entire space to themselves. Please make sure you select the correct number of guests and unit while booking.

The owners visit frequently and stay in their private room in the Wisteria Villa.

Electricity: Electricity is usually not a problem, however, being at an offbeat location, if there is an unprecedented power outage, we have a Genset and an inverter as power backup to keep the lights and some power points running for 02 hours. This might also offer you an opportunity to switch off and gaze at the starry night sky. We promise you will not regret it.

Please note that like any other home in the mountains, we do not have an air conditioner at the property. Wisteria House has been designed in such a way that there is proper wind circulation if the windows are opened in the afternoon. Besides, we also have pedestal fans if you feel the need for the same.

There are additional charges for Bonfire/ Fireplace to be paid at the property.

Outside guests are not allowed during the stay. The property is only accessible to guests who have booked with us.

Additional space can be provided for 01 private driver or nanny. No taxi drivers allowed to stay or park on premises.

Take a serene forest walk through Kanyal Village, or for thrill-seekers, head to Solang Valley for skiing, paragliding, and other outdoor adventures. Beyond Solang, cross the Atal Tunnel to reach Sissu, where the scenery transforms into dramatic vistas of waterfalls and stark landscapes.

“The wisteria house is a sweet little paradise perched on a hill top with the beautiful view of snow caped mountains and the valley below !!! My first thoughts on reaching there was as if I was in a beautiful Swiss villa !! It has been made with a lot of love and attention to detail and beautiful aesthetics. It’s surrounded by the beautiful deodara forests and irises fields where one can go for trekking and enjoy the wonders of nature.
The staff is very friendly and always ready to help with a smile. The food too is excellent and we enjoyed a good barbecue in the beautifully landscaped garden! The hosts are extremely helpful as they know the area in and out .
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will surely visit again soon!
